Initial Consultation
The road to a successful project begins with communication. Valley Cabinets Kitchens and More, Inc. is committed to offering its clients the high quality service and superb craftsmanship that has become the signature characteristic of our business. The process begins with our ability to listen to your needs and work with you to accomplish your construction goals. During our initial consultation, we will discuss in full detail what those needs are, including a review of all proposed construction blueprints. We are pleased to work with clients on an individual basis if blueprints are not available. A questionnaire will be filled out on your initial visit answering questions such as door styles, woods, colors, etc. This visit should take approximately 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
Follow-Up Appointment
Following our initial consultation, a second meeting will be scheduled 1-2 weeks later to cover several important aspects of the construction project. Cabinet designs will be presented based on information gathered from the client during our initial consultation. The presentation will include computer generated design layouts and estimated job cost. All estimates are good for 30 days. Floor plans and design drawings produced by Valley Cabinets Kitchens and More, Inc. will remain company property until the retainer fee is collected. Additional design changes will be produced only upon receipt of retainer fee.
Retainer Fee
The retainer fee is $300.00 or 10% of your job estimate, whichever dollar amount is less. Upon receipt of the retainer fee, Valley Cabinets Kitchens and More, Inc. will place your project on our production schedule. Adequate time is allowed for preparation prior to job site inspection and field measurements are gathered to complete the final project design and cost. At this point, if the client for any reason cancels the project contract, the retainer fee becomes property of Valley Cabinets Kitchens and More, Inc. All design work becomes property of the client's. It is also important to note, the retainer fee is applied toward the final balance of the construction project.
